Public Health Professional. Youth Mentor. Advocate for the Underdog. With more than 13 years of working with adolescents in various capacities, Jasmine brings a wealth of knowledge and a fresh perspective to the world of youth development. 

 

As a native of Saginaw Michigan and a product of Saginaw Public Schools, she understands all too well how pivotal it is for a young person to have at least one adult who believes in their ability to succeed and pushes them to believe the same. Having no prior blueprint and equipped only with grit and grind, she was able to obtain a BA from The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, a MS from Saginaw Valley State University, and a MPH along with a Certificate in Adolescent Health from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Jasmine has made it her mission to utilize her talents, experience, and expertise to benefit the youth in her community and abroad. After discovering a unique ability to connect with and inspire those she encountered, coupled with God-given purpose, Calhoun Consulting and Youth Development was born. 

 

In addition to one-on-one and group interactions with young people, she also focuses her attention on educating professionals on how to better serve this unique generation. 

In her spare time, Jasmine continues to build on her expertise in the areas of youth who are or have been housing unstable, human trafficked, entangled with the juvenile justice system, and other adverse childhood experiences.
